After a difficult start with fog preventing the start of play for 45 minutes, the day ended with everyone - players and officials - feeling that it had been a great day. Robin Hood Golf Centre once again sponsored this event by providing the prizes to both winning teams and Warwickshire are sincerely grateful for their continued support.

The February Winter Alliance was held at Robin Hood Golf Club on Monday 1st February. The day dawned with a light covering of snow on the ground, but the Greenkeeper at Robin Hood pronounced the course 'ready to play'.

Henley Golf Club pulled out all the stops for the Winter Alliance on Saturday 12th December to make sure that Dottie Beanland enjoyed her first official engagement as the newly appointed County Captain for Warwickshire.

Congratulations to Chris Mitchell of the Forest of Arden GC for starting the 2009/10 Winter Alliance series of competitions in such fine style! Chris was really delighted to achieve her first ever Hole in One on the fourth hole at The West Midlands Golf Club yesterday, 2nd November.
