On Thursday 19th July, the Midlands South Region Womens' Championship was contested at The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, with Warwickshire County being the hosts. The weather was mostly fine with just one short sharp shower......

England Golf is pleased to announce that a limited number of university scholarships are available for talented young amateurs attending British universities. The annual golf scholarship of ¨ 3,000 aims to help support English players of national standard at a time when the pressure on personal finances often prevents many players from competing at the highest levels of the amateur game.

England gave a command performance to shoot 35-under par and win the qualifying stage of the European girls' team championship at St Leon Rot in Germany.

The last day of competition for this year and Warwickshire had Buckinghamshire as the opponents. This was quite a needle match as if Bucks won this match, they could go into the overall lead.

Day 4 at Mentmore had Warwickshire drawn against Oxfordshire in the format of 3 Foursomes in the morning and 6 Singles in the afternoon. The morning Foursomes gave us hope as Warwickshire finished 2 matches to 1.....

Berkshire were the opponents today, Wednesday 20th June, with the format just the same as previous days. Foursomes pairings looked good on paper, with two new members to the team playing - 16 year old Katrina GANI and Yen PHAM.....

Day two dawned fine and sunny again and today the Warwickshire Team was pitched against Worcestershire & Herefordshire. Again there were 3 Foursome matches for the morning and after an unexpected and surprising loss 7 and 6 by Melissa NICOL and Hannah COLES, spirits were a little low.
