Welcome to the 2008 Competitions and Championships Calendar. In this feature you will find entry forms for all the WLCGA events for 2008. They can be found in your County Booklet which will be with your shortly but instead of cutting them out from the booklet, downloading these PDFs is perfectly acceptable. Please enter as early as you can. It helps the County Competitions committee!

| The 2008 season is just weeks away. We hope you all have a wonderful year. There are lots of events going on throughout the season and next month please put in your diaries the first of the special Rules Evenings on March 6th (the second is on 1st April). The posters for these articles is in this feature, along with calendars for both teams and the competative players. Please print them for your own use and especially Club Notice Boards.

ELIZABETH MALLETT SELECTED FOR SCOTTISH UNDER16 CHAMPIONSHIPS |

Elizabeth Mallett has been selected as one of eight teenagers to represent The English Women's Golf Association for the Scottish U16 open strokeplay championship at Craigielaw Golf Club, near Edinburgh, on April 10 and 11. The event provides the players with an opportunity to gain championship experience and to prepare for the season ahead.

| Warwickshire Schools Entry - January 1st 2008. In the update, the first entry forms for 2008, for the 26th Warwickshire Schools which will be played at the West Midlands GC on Tuesday 25th March. The Defending Girls Champion is Alice Young.Firstly though, a Very Happy New Year to all our readers.

| December 2007 on this site - end of year reviews, new features and new plans. Although the County Golf Season is now over until the middle of March, for all bar the Warwickshire Cup which your club may well be competing in, there will be daily updates on this site from now, through to Christmas, then on into the New Year. There will be something for everyone in the coming weeks and months so please check-out our 'Features' whenever you can. |
