• Warks Boys vs Shrops & Hereford and Derbyshire

This is a report on the last two matches for 2009 for the Warwickshire Boys - two wins which gave us a good finish to a tricky season - 'Warwickshire Boys finished the Midland league strongly and are left thinking of what might have been. We did win the four counties for a record 9th time, so the Boys can feel the year has been successful in part', said Boys Team Manager John Simpson

  • 'Ground Braking match between Warwickshire and Worcestershire'

Under 14s vs Worcestershire - Wishaw Golf club - The first ever Inter County Under 14 match with 10 players per side took place at Wishaw golf club this week between Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

  • Its not our year - at Junior level

Boys County 6s - Midland Qualifier - Maxstoke Park GC - Thursday 28th May 2009. Winning at a 'home' venue has always proved difficult, whether for Warwickshire or any other county, and so it was this year as our strong Boys team tried to book a return to the English County Finals, this time to be held just up the road in Staffordshire and in August, rather than a 'balmy' links as last year at Westwood Ho, in mid September.

  • Now for 10

4 Counties 2009 - Day 2 - Henley Golf & Country Club - Sunday 19th April. The pressures on increasing a record grows from the time a win sequence has been beaten and this year's task, for your Boys Team, was near as difficult as the match four years ago when the record was equaled and the year after when it was taken.

  • Off and running

4 Counties 2009 - Day 1 - Henley Golf & Country Club - Saturday 19th April. With revenge in mind, after a very heavy defeat in last year's event, it was a determined Staffs Boys who were our first opposition in this year's quest for a ninth consecutive win in this oldest of Four Counties competitions.

  • Warwickshire are Second Best

Boys County Championship - Final result - Surrey 1st - Warwickshire 2nd - Lancashire 3rd - Cornwall 4th. Second best County Juniors in England is no mean feat but this afternoon, Surrey showed how good they are in what were again very difficult conditions.

  • A Great Start

English County Boys Championship 2008 ? D1 ? Warks vs Cornwall & Surrey vs Lancs. The best description of the conditions, which were brutal, was Lancashire winning the 11th in one of their matches with a nine (two lost balls for each of the Surrey and Lancashire players). Surrey didn't take that hole loss to heart and won 6.5 to 2.5 ? so how did Warwickshire do?
