Wednesday 21st September - Andy Sullivan, professional golfer, has just set off on his first working day to play in this week's Austrian Open, one of two European Tour events he has this season.

The 2011 Warwickshire Open - Handsworth GC - Thursday 8th September - A year ago Jamie Carney wasn't playing golf. Having had a very good Junior career, trying to reach the very top of those ranks, Jamie had made a personal decision. He was trying too hard and wanted a rest. This season, Jamie decided he still loved the game but wanted to play under his own terms.

Saturday 3 September 2011, 9.00 a.m. saw our team of six boys plus one reserve assembled at Broughton Heath, a testing 18 hole par 3 course of 3,125 yards, with holes between 110 and 206 yards, average 172, SSS 57.

1st V Shropshire & Herefordshire 04/09/2011 - Our latest match of the season took us deep into Hereford to the Herefordshire Golf Club due to the distance this involved a night's stay over and we took advantage of a practice round Saturday afternoon. Following a very long journey due to motorway roadwork's some 3hrs later we arrived at a sunny Herefordshire this was a new venue for all but one of the team and even then Karl had only played 10 holes a few years ago before rain stopped play.

Sunday 4th September 2011 at Rugby Golf Club vsShropshire & Herefordshire - After our stunning comeback against Worcestershire, we had high hopes of carrying on our winning form against a Shropshire & Herefordshire side which we had comfortably beaten last season. The weather forecast was ominous as it looked like the morning foursomes would be played in heavy rain. As it happened we only had a light shower which stopped by 11.00 and after that waterproofs were no longer required.

Tuesday 30th August 2011- 2011 Boys Trials - The West Midlands Golf Club - Walmley's Thomas Jones posted his best score of the year, a 70 (-2) to take 1st place in this years Boys trials but it was only just a win as four other player beat par and half the field were nett below the regulation 72.
