Saturday 17th October 2009 - The West Midlands Golf Club - the JOM Championship. The name Ibbertson is the only one on the Birmingham Post Trophy. Tom was looking for No 3 but just like four years ago when firstly Harry took the No 1 spot, they were once the challengers and this year, the new 'blood' was out in force.

Andy Sullivan was three under standing on the tee of the par three 8th in his attempt to win the 2009 County Champions tournament - he walked off with a double bogey and parred in until a hooked tee shot at the 18th cost him a bogey and a level par 73.

Team Warwickshire 2nd's v Worcestershire 2nd's at Stourbridge Golf Club on Sunday 4th October 2009. Needing just 4.5 points from a maximum of 18 points available on the day to claim the Midlands League 2nd Team title, some teams would have thought that they only had to turn up and they would 'fall over the winning line'.

Olton Golf Club - Sunday 4th October 2009 - 1sts vs Worcs - With the league title already in the bag Warwickshire firsts were looking to win all five of their matches for the first time. Andy Sullivan and Rob Browning led out in the foursomes and had to fight gamely for a half. Fred Jewsbury and Chris Freeman who was standing in for the bed-ridden Sam Dodds also squared their game on the 18th.

Warwickshire vs Nottinghamshire - match 4 of the 2009 Midland League - Kenilworth GC - Sunday 20th September - After three successful away games we were finally back in bear country where Kenilworth GC kindly agreed to host the fixture that was rained off at Robin Hood in August. With Andy Sullivan and Tom Ibbertson away at Woodhall Spa in the Champion of champions we had to make a couple of changes from the side that beat Derbyshire two weeks ago.
