At the end of one of the most successful seasons in the history of the WLCGA, this year’s AGM was almost a celebration as well as the time of the year when all the Warwickshire Ladies Officials report on the activities of the past season as well as handing over the ‘reigns’ of a number of positions. |

Three English golfers are just back from Texas – and a masterclass with some of the world’s top coaches. Teenagers Felicity Johnson and Sian James, together with professional Sarah Claridge, spent a week with Dick, Craig and Bill Harmon, brothers of World No 1 Coach, Butch Harmon.

NEW VISION FOR GOLF |
| Golf is being given a renewed focus in England by the nation’s three major governing bodies, which aim to increase the number of individuals playing golf by 10% from 4.2m to 4.6m by 2009.
Under the umbrella of the England Golf Partnership, The Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA), English Golf Union (EGU) and English Ladies Golf Association (ELGA) have created a Vision for English Golf.

England girls will bid for a hat trick of successive wins in their annual match against the boys at Piltdown Golf Club, Sussex, on Sunday (October 10). A strong under-18 side has been named to defend the Marian Carr Memorial Salver, which remembers the former secretary of the English Ladies’ Golf Association. |

England sweep to victory in Senior Home Internationals |
| England swept to victory in the Senior Home Internationals with a 7-0 whitewash of Wales on the final day of the matches at Kilkeel, Ireland. The team dominated the three-day event to keep a firm grip on the crown which they won last year, when this championship was launched. |
