MAGNIFICENT WIN FOR WARWICKSHIRE
The sun was definitely shining on Warwickshire’s yellow shirts for day two of the English County Finals at High Post, when they triumphed over Hampshire by 5 - 4 to put themselves right back into the game. The calibre of golf was phenomenal throughout the team and particularly in the top foursomes match which provided an exhibition of the highest level involving two ex-professionals and two former Curtis Cup golfers. In spite of losing to Hampshire’s top pair Kerry Smith and Sarah White, Claire Dowling and Tracy Atkin were four under par when they succumbed 3/2.
