The course is ready, the scene is set and the players are about to enter into one of the biggest experiences of their lives on one of the World’s great sporting arenas. The nerves will be jangling and the caddies will be on hand with keen advice. No, this is not the Ryder Cup but for those taking part this is certainly on a par. |

A Very Happy Christmas |
| This month warskgolf is just as full of features as it is during the Golf season – which in the case of 2004 was very successful for both the Warwickshire Union and the Warwickshire County Ladies Association. The Dream is over – until next year! |
 |
|
‘We came here knowing we were a good team – but we didn’t know how good were in comparison with the best. This bodes so well for the future, with the experience that it has given all the team – we can be back’, said a very proud Warwickshire Captain Pat Hale after her team’s heroic efforts. |

MAGNIFICENT WIN FOR WARWICKSHIRE |
| The sun was definitely shining on Warwickshire’s yellow shirts for day two of the English County Finals at High Post, when they triumphed over Hampshire by 5 - 4 to put themselves right back into the game. The calibre of golf was phenomenal throughout the team and particularly in the top foursomes match which provided an exhibition of the highest level involving two ex-professionals and two former Curtis Cup golfers. In spite of losing to Hampshire’s top pair Kerry Smith and Sarah White, Claire Dowling and Tracy Atkin were four under par when they succumbed 3/2. |

WARKS PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT AGAINST YORKSHIRE |
 |
|
Warwickshire ladies pulled out all the stops against Yorkshire in the first day of the English County Finals at High Post in Wiltshire in an exciting duel under the sun.
Despite being 2 - 1 down after the morning foursomes they fought gallantly back to win the first three singles matches to narrowly lose by just 5 - 4. |

The Girls gang up on the Boys! |
| The 2004 Warwickshire U11s at Lea Marston Par 3 course nearly produced a 1-2-3 for the superb Warwickshire girls. They were foiled by Nathan Ray from Maxstoke who played the nine in just 2 over par but the girls filled the next three places, including a superb performance from relatively inexperienced Lauren Taylor to come in 4th. |
