MAURITIUS OPEN GOLF 2006 |
| This year, the Mauritius Golf Open breaks new ground as players from the 3 main European tours are invited to the play at the Belle Mare Plage Resort. The Mauritius Open has grown from a local event of 30 professionals and 60 amateurs to this year?s event which will host 25 members of the European Tour plus 20 from both the Seniors and Ladies Tours.

The Centenary Dinner - A fitting end to 100 years ... |
| and the beginning of the next 100. The National Motorcycle Museum - Saturday 25th November 2006. In front of more than 320 diners, the Warwickshire Union concluded the Centenary year with its annual dinner, and some very special guests. Our President John Stubbings led out the top table and the four principle guests at the start the evening, to huge applause - EGU President Donald Steele, Sir Michael Bonallack OBE, Peter McEvoy OBE and John Sterling, Honorary member and Past Captain of the PGA.

Two wonderful players |
| If you are coming to the Centenary Dinner this Saturday, you will be able to see one of the most impressive trophies in any form of golf, let alone County Amateur Championships. It is the TP Cooke Cup for the Matchplay Champion of each year and the winner's roster from even the 50s reads like a history of our greatest players of the last half century (minus just one or two names). This feature includes extracts of the Centenary book about two of those wonderful golfers and starts with the player from the 20s who reached the heights of both Amateur and Professional golf -
