The 2004 County 6 Woodhall Spa |
These are the final team scores from Woodhall Spa on 19th June 2004. It was a tough day, over a very challenging course, and the final qualification came down to just one shot. Notable rounds included a new course record from Thomason (Leics) of 66 Thomason being the man who replaced Gary Wolstenholme! |

It?s not our year at the County 10s |
| As Leics and Lincs battled for the right to go to the County Finals, with just a player each to come in, it was time to concede that for 2004, Warwickshire would not be part of the Champion County event. This was at 8.20pm, over 12 hours after this marathon day had started. |

County Qualifying 2004 - Woodhall Spa Golf Club |
Its that time of year again where we take on the best of the Midlands counties in an attempt to make it through to the National County finals. The format of the event is for a 6 man team (plus a reserve) to play 36 holes stroke play (this year around the Hotchkin course at Woodhall Spa) with all scores to count and very little margin for error.
. And the winner takes all. As everyone is probably aware, this is a highly charged and pressurised event that attracts the very best golfers from each county - many internationals will be on display at Woodhall Spa on the 19th and there promises to be some fantastic golf played.

Team Warwickshire 1 A great start |
| All the friendlies are over, all the training sessions stored away. With the Berkshire taking place this weekend (taking away some of our best players), Andy Kearns was going to show how good the 1st and 2nd team squad is by picking a winning team but that was not so likely after the morning session of foursomes against Shropshire & Herefordshire at Kenilworth GC on Sunday 6th June. |

Warwickshire 1sts beat Leics (again) |
Andy Kearns and Team Warwickshire recorded another win (we won away in 2003) against Leicestershire in a warm up for the 2004 season, at Robin Hood GC on Sunday 28th March, watched by new Union President Jim Dean. It was match all square after the morning foursomes so we needed a strong singles performance and the team provided one. |

1sts vs Northants at Wellingborough |
| The Warwickshire 1st team opened up the season with an 8-man match against a strong Northamptonshire side at Wellingborough GC on Sunday 21st March.
Despite sometimes gale force icy winds, sporadic rain and the recently hollow-tined greens, this friendly was a fiercely competitive and very closely fought match.
