British Amateur 2007 - Royal Lytham & St Annes - Thursday 21st June - After a stunning performance in the round of 32 against Ben Goddard, Andy Sullivan found the consistency of Spaniard Jorge Campillo too much to handle and succumbed 2&1. It was a sad end to a great week for Andy but he was happy with how well he had done -

| British Amateur 2007 - Wednesday 20th June - Andy Sullivan is through to the last 32 of the British Amateur after a final green birdie took him against Wallace Booth. He now faces 18 year old Luke Goddard in the second round. The match included birdies and bogies and a crucial 50ft par putt on the 10th hole on a day when the winds were ever blustery over the Open Championship link of Royal Lytham St Annes.

Tuesday 19th June 2007 - British Amateur Qualifying and last Seniors Team match - Andy Sullivan took his place in the British Amateur Top 64 draw quite comfortably, actually making the Top 10 of the elite from the 288 strong field. Putting aside bad memories of last year's Lytham Trophy, when Andy found nearly every one of the fearsome Open Championship course's bunkers, Andy had a 69 and he could have been the leading qualifier were it not for a dropped shot at the 17th.

| Monday 17th June - There was good new from the first round of the British Amateur Championship 2007 when Andy Sullivan shot a nine birdie 66 to be amongst the leaders for the 64 (and ties) who will go through to the matchplay section this Wednesday. Matt Cryer was five shots further back after a 71 and Russell Heritage on 78 . There was no such good news from your Seniors Team who lost away - against Worcestershire!

Peter McEvoy Trophy 2007 - Wed 18th and Thurs 19th April 2007 - Copt Heath Golf Club - In the first major championship for juniors of 2007, the Championship went to Matt Haines with a superb score of 277 (-7). Warwickshire had three players in the field, the toughest qualification ever with only 0.6 handicappers (and better) making it through to play. They were Sam Dodds, Dan Baskott and James Smith.
