The 2008 JOM Championship - Saturday 4th October 2008 - The West Midlands Golf Club. Tom Ibbertson had placed Top 1 or 2 for virtually the whole of 2008, as he sought to retain his JOM title and being the No 1 Junior. He came to the West Midlands with one thought - to keep ahead of his nearest challenger Will Bailey. Perhaps both looked out for each other and forgot about the rest of the 23 qualifiers, because this year's JOM became all too close as the Championship unfolded.

Saturday 4th October 2008 - The 2008 JOM Championship - The West Midlands Golf Club - This feature announces the finalists for the JOM Championship. Its been a season long hard fought comeptition and four players can still be JOM Champion, with twelve players still able to take the Runners-up spot.

Warwickshire Boys 2008 - Thursday 31st July - Shirley GC - On last year's form, from the 2007 JOM, Tom Ibbertson was the No 1 Junior. Today at Shirley he turned year round consistency into his first Warwickshire title and joined the likes of Steve Webster and Sam Walker as a County Boys Champion, but it was very close.

Midland Schools Championships - Bloxwich Golf Club - Friday 30th May - Its usually a case that if the County Juniors don't quite make it to the English Finals, there is always the consolation of success in the Midland Schools and going on to and England Schools Cap. This year's team was part 'old' juniors and three players who might well figure in next year's County Team who try to repeat this year's outstanding triumph.

English Junior Championship - Midland Region Qualifier - Kingsthorpe GC Wednesday 29th May - Northants has been good to Warwickshire as a qualifying venue, twice for the Warwickshire Men's team at Church Brampton so when your Juniors held a 17 (yes 17!) shot lead at lunch, the omen's seemed very good - then came an afternoon of high drama.

2008 Warwickshire Schools - The West Midlands Golf Club - Tuesday 25th March. Sam Dodds took the Warwickshire Schools title yesterday, to complete the set of Midlands and Warwickshire Boys strokeplay championships. He did it the hard way after a bit of a disastrous front nine in bitterly cold conditions.
