WARWICKSHIRE BOYS WIN 2001 EGU COUNTY QUALIFIER BY NARROW MARGIN
The Midland Region Qualifier for the English Boys Championship was held at Glen Gorse GC on 30th May.Ten Counties were competing for the one place in the final with six boys in each team and five medal scores to count in each of two rounds. The Warwickshire side comprised: Robert Steele (Kenilworth) -Captain Sam Hufton (Copt Heath) Ben Kruze (The Warwickshire) Tom Webber (Shirley) Oliver West (Robin Hood) Jon Wetton (Nuneaton)
