The Mens 6s for 2010 - Lingdale GC Leicestershire - Saturday 19th June - At a windy and tricky to play Lingdale our 6s team failed just to take the Midland place in the 2010 County Finals - losing to our neighbours Worcestershire who have ended a 37 year wait since their last appearance.

Warwickshire's team to compete in the MGU Qualifier at Lingdale GC on the 19th June is :

Sunday 6th June 2010 - Uttoxeter Golf Club vs Staffordshire. The seconds' quest to retain their league title started on Sunday 6th June at Uttoxeter GC. 4 squad members had gone over for a practice round the day before and found the golf course to be very tricky. Fortunately Antony Gascoigne burnt the midnight oil and produced a crib sheet for all of the Warwickshire team. This attention to detail was to prove valuable for those who had not played the course previously.

Warwickshire v Staffordshire 6th June 2010 - Copt Heath GC - The season's first county match usually falls victim to the weather and today's events nearly fell the same way mid-way through the singles as a heavy storm battered Copt Heath Golf Club. However the day ended as it started in baking sunshine.

With Warwickshire taking the 2009 season by storm and remaining unbeaten we have put ourselves in the firing line for the opposition this time around. Let's make no mistake about it, the competition in the midland league is fierce and with very little, on paper, between the counties it is hard to maintain an edge. We have lots of quality players.

Horsley Lodge - Wednesday June 2nd - Our team for 2010 was not as strong as some recent years, handicap wise, but on a course whose greens are a complete test of approach making and then when missed, chipping and putting, a team which will have four players eligible for 2011 gained much experience and placed a very respectable fourth.
