This is the full scoreboard for our Day 2 Match vs Derbyshire during the 2004 County Week qualifier at Whittington Heath. We played in the second match so news of Staffordshire registering another impressive win would have soon filtered back to our players. The singles performance was very reminiscent to two years ago

| Over the very beautiful (and difficult) Whittington Heath GC, Pat Hales Warwickshire 1st team have made a wonderful start in trying to make it through to the semi-finals of the County Championship. If you want to see the best golfers in the Midlands, playing a wonderful course, then do make it to Whittington for Tuesday or Wednesday (15th & 16th June). This is the story of Day 1. |

This is the scoreboard from our first match of the 2004 regional section of the County Championships, held at Whittington Heath GC. We play Worcs, Staffs and Derbys over three days with three morning foursomes and six afternoon singles. This was our match against Worcestershire. |

| It was a very good debut from our two Girls in the 2004 Midlands Schools. Both Stacey Edwards and 2004 Warwickshire Girls Champion Charlotte Dalton could well play again next year and in the future and overall, the day was made by the team news at the end of the presentations. |

The ELGA Closed no more Warwickshire representation |

The ELGA English Closed Championships continues today Friday 21st May with the quarter finals and no more Warwickshire representation. Making the headlines after R1 of the matchplay was Claire Howells having disposed of a Curtis Cup player (for more detail, please read the main body of this editorial). | Emma Duggleby (Malton & Norton) the current English Champion leads the English Ladies Close Amateur Championship qualifying rounds for the first time, 6 under par. Emma said I am delighted to be leading the field.
The great news for us was Claire Howells making it through in 28th place and Felicity Johnson being second best qualifer with 144. |
