A present for ever
If you have a keen golfer in your family, of any age and one who wears their 'Warwickshire' colours very firmly to their chests when it comes to sport (and particularly golf), then there is one Christmas present they are sure to enjoy for years and years to come. 'A Centenary of Warwickshire County Golf' by John Moreton is all about our County, and its a very successful history of individual and team successes - our golfers have played at the very highest levels.
John Sterling - Doyen of Professionals
This is an interview with one of the guest speakers from the Centenary Dinner - John Sterling, Honorary member and Past Captain of the PGA. John is now retired, after 55 years of being a Club and Teaching Professional, the latter to the highest level as John was head coach for the England team for over a decade. He entertained the Centenary Dinenr guests with how he started his interest in golf as a caddy for a rather un-talented golfer, a man who eventually ended up playing a round with the club professional - ' a very different game', said Sterling.

It is the TP Cooke Cup for the Matchplay Champion of each year and the winner's roster from even the 50s reads like a history of our greatest players of the last half century (minus just one or two names). This feature includes extracts of the Centenary book about two of those wonderful golfers and starts with the player from the 20s who reached the heights of both Amateur and Professional golf -
Oh so near - a Profile of the 2006 Junior Team
This was a 'nearly' year. We started with a very promising group of players who lived up to our hopes by winning the Four Counties tournament for the sixth successive time with mostly excellent and occasionally spectacular golf. Two League wins did nothing to concern us but failing to qualify for the EGU finals by a single stroke (755 against 754) seemed to take the wind out of our sails and absences and injuries seemed to multiply as we lost two league games narrowly, the final one being 7 - 8 to Shropshire & Herefordshire, the match being to decide our group winners. The following players represented Warwickshire Boys:
