ELGA win CONGU handicapping support at the AGM
The English Ladies’ Golf Association (ELGA) held their 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Queen’s Hotel, Leeds, on the 4 December 2003. In excess of 360 ladies (and a hand full of men) were present to witness proceedings. The resolutions proposed by the Ladies’ Golf Union (LGU) to approve amendments to the rules of the Ladies’ Golf Union included the change from the LGU Handicapping System to the CONGU Unified Handicapping System.

A new Honorary Member of the WLCGA
As you may have read in our report on the WLCGA AGM, there was an announcement of a new Honarary Member for the association. This is the presentation made by Beth Hatwell to the meeting to announce the name of the new honarary member .... and it was a surprise for the person concerned.
The WLCGA AGM 2003
Today, Wednesday 19th November, the WLCGA held their AGM at Copt Heath Golf Club. It was a chance to reflect on 2003 and all the County Competitions, the County matches and the success of the County Juniors. There was only one election of a new official this year - Pat Hale (Edgbaston) taking over from Marsha Button (Nuneaton) as County Captain.
