Teather's U14s title.
Centenary Warwickshire U14s Championship - North Warks GC - Tuesday 8th August - The U14s (formally the U15s but now changed to be in line with the EGU age classifications) has a pedigree of winners that is rare - Paul Broadhurst (twice), Sam Walker (twice) and Jamie Elson all being past champions who have gone on to European Tour success or International honours. Recent champions have not yet made the transfer to the Professional ranks but any of the Top 3 today could make that graduation, with lots and lots of hard work. As it was, the final nine holes of play between Sam Teather and Jamie Carney was superb golf, for any age of player.

In his previous Captaincy of Warwickshire, Worcestershire have proved a 'bogey' side to Centenary County Captain Graham Hargreaves but not today as his side achieved a big win 11.5 to 3.5 to put them very much in contention for the Midland League title whilst the Second Team, under the stewardship of Nick Clifford, remained unbeaten.
