County Week 2003 Day 3 |

The day began with Warwickshire clearly understanding the challenge. They had to win all of their matches to beat Staffordshire and go through to the next round. Drawn against Derbyshire the foursomes teams were Hannah Coles and Anne Parry, Lisa Barton and Claire Howells, Marsha Button and Jane Mander. The top two matches lost in hard fought battles whilst Marsha and Jane managed to scrape a half with an excellent fight back which took the match all the way to the 18th |

| Worcs beat Derbyshire - Warks lose to Staffs 3 - 6
After last year’s less than positive start on Day 1, Warwickshire were looking for a win from their first match in the three day County Week qualifer, held this year at Kedlestone Park. First Day opponents were Staffordshire who halved all their matches last year,a strong side and with our County missing Felicity Johnson for Day 1, due to exam commitments, it would need all the Warwickshire Ladies to play well to lead the table.
