2003 County Week - Day 2 |

Staffordshire opened play against Derbyshire. In a tough battle the counties halved both the morning foursomes and afternoon singles to halve their overall match. Warwickshire drawn to play Worcestershire knew the writing was on the wall unless they produced some results. And they did. The morning foursomes were won by Warwickshire 2 - 1.  |

County Week 2003 - Day 1 |
| Worcs beat Derbyshire - Warks lose to Staffs 3 - 6
After last year’s less than positive start on Day 1, Warwickshire were looking for a win from their first match in the three day County Week qualifer, held this year at Kedlestone Park. First Day opponents were Staffordshire who halved all their matches last year,a strong side and with our County missing Felicity Johnson for Day 1, due to exam commitments, it would need all the Warwickshire Ladies to play well to lead the table.

At Kedleston Park, this Monday through Wednesday, the Warwickshire Ladies County team will start on the road to trying to go one stage further than last year when they reached the semi-finals and so bravely fought to go through. Reports will be here each night, at approximately 7.00 pm as Captain Marsha Button leads her team against Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Worcestershire |

Day 1. For the first match of the Regional Finals of the Ladies Sub-divisional County Championships played over the beautiful links of Woodbridge golf club, Warwickshire faced last years finalists Leicestershire, a team who have a history of success in the event. |
