The Warwickshire County Golf Partnership Invites applications for the position of COUNTY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER- the Salary will be £ 12,000 per annum based on 21 hours per week (flexible) 12 month renewable contract on a self employed basis The Development Officer will be helping to deliver the 'Grow' and 'Sustain' elements of the Whole Sport Plan the Warwickshire County Golf Partnership requires a County Development Officer to join their progressive team.

Shirley Golf Club was the venue for the 2009 Mary Turner Bowl competition, an annual event between Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Worcester/Herefordshire. The first rain seen for weeks started the day, but fortunately only slight drizzle was experienced by these stalwart golfers during play.

Coventry Hearsall was the venue for the final of the 2009 Charles Heeley Bowl competition, where winning participants from Golf Clubs from Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire competed on Wednesday 30th September.

Warwickshire County President Angela Dawson and her partner Jane Jones, both of Copt Heath, won the Brenda King Foursomes at Minchinhampton yesterday, 30th September.

Felicity Johnson earned her maiden European Tour victory today at the Tenerife Open, played at Costa Adeje Golf Course.

First out this morning were Rachel Rusted and Liz Galland and with clouds gathering they had a very close match, finally clinching a half point on the 18th. Regrettably Liz Cramond and Hannah McLoughlin did not fare so well, losing their match on the 15th. The last foursome match was much closer with Claire Howells and Charlotte Dalton pulling back to just one down on the 17th, only to halve the final hole and thus lose the match 1 down.
