Blue sky. warm sunshine and first off on Day one of County week, this year being held at The Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern. The morning Foursome started at 8.30 a.m., with Warwickshire drawn to play against the host County, Worcester and Herefordshire which produced a fantastic start to the proceedings.....

- LAUREN TAYLOR WINS LADIES' BRITISH AMATEUR CHAMPS 2011
WLCGA sends congratulations to Lauren TAYLOR who won the Ladies' British Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush links in Northern Ireland, on 11th June. A grey sky welcomed all to Moor Hall this morning but my how the weather improved during the day. Golf wasn't bad either!! We started out with the Semi's in the morning with Rachel RUSTED (Nuneaton GC) drawn against Claire HOWELLS (Moor Hall GC) and Lisa BARTON (Coventry GC) against youngster Katrina GANI (Shirley GC).....

Day 2 at Moor Hall saw the top 16 qualifiers battling away in a knockout format, and they set out from 9.00 a.m. at 10 minute intervals...
