The morning Foursome started at 8.30 a.m., with Warwickshire drawn to play against the host County, Worcester and Herefordshire which produced a fantastic start to the proceedings.....

WLCGA sends congratulations to Lauren TAYLOR who won the Ladies' British Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush links in Northern Ireland, on 11th June. Lauren is the youngest ever player to have won this Championship and she beat Alexandra BONETTI from France 6 and 5 in the final. 26th May 2011 - Edgbaston Golf Club - the Ping Pairs event Qualifying - One Hole-in-One is rare and many golfers never have that moment of triumph and wonder - but Edgbaston's Ann Bache has done it twice, and both in the same round!!!!

At the end of the Prize Presentation at Moor Hall yesterday, Dottie Beanland, County Captain announced the sqaud of Warwickshire players chosen to represent Warwickshire at County week. This will be held at the Worcestershire Golf Club, Malvern on 20th to 24th June inclusive....

A grey sky welcomed all to Moor Hall this morning but my how the weather improved during the day. Golf wasn't bad either!! We started out with the Semi's in the morning with Rachel RUSTED (Nuneaton GC) drawn against Claire HOWELLS (Moor Hall GC) and Lisa BARTON (Coventry GC) against youngster Katrina GANI (Shirley GC).....

Day 2 at Moor Hall saw the top 16 qualifiers battling away in a knockout format, and they set out from 9.00 a.m. at 10 minute intervals...
