Unfortunately the February Winter Alliance had to be cancelled due to icy winds and snow from Russia which covered the county and indeed the country.

Sub zero temperatures and snow on 5th January 2009 made the Winter Alliance to be staged at Stonebridge Golf Club the first golfing victim of the 2009 season!
