Warwickshire Schools |
The first Junior Major event of 2004 will be the Warwickshire Schools held at Henley Golf and Country Club on 14th April. A number of our County Squad will not be able to win the Schools Title (won by Paul Broadhurst amongst others) but they will be able to play as guests for JoM points, competing alongside Sam Foster, Andy Sullivan, Neil Taylor, Chris Hazeldine and the 2003 Champion, Dale Marson. |

Boys Trials - Stoneleigh GC - 15th April |
| This is the first of the Warwickshire Union Championships for 2004 and it always attracts all the best Junior golfers as well as those who are on the fringes of selection or are young golfers showing some talent. Last year, a new face in Mark James (Whitefields) beat off notables such as Chris Evans for this first win of the season. James went on to play for the County, on the back of his excellent score. |

Adrian Carey returned to the winners circle and a years custody of the Warwickshire Open trophy once again with rounds of 66 and 69 over a very tough Rugby GC course, a course playing like a tough links with a bit of wind.
He was two ahead of two Amateurs, the finalists from the Warwickshire Matchplay, Paul Randle and the Champion Matt Cryer.

Warwickshire crowns its youngest ever champion – Jamie Carney |
| The 1st ever Warwickshire Schools Championship was held on Tuesday 12th August over the excellent 9 Hole course at Lea Marston. Using a format developed for use by the English Schools Organisation, it was a championship where handicaps did not count. The best player was going to win and that was Jamie Carney, but it was very close. |
