One shot - one winner |

|
If David Howell had played well to win the BMW International in late summer 2004, to make that year's Ryder Cup team, his career went 'stellar' after just one shot, a 6 iron to the 17th in the second morning's foursomes at Oakland Hills, a shot which would become shot of that year and has since instilled a level of control and confidence that was all about why he won the 2006 BMW Championship - the Player's flagship at Wentworth.

The Centenary Amateur - Stafford's title |
| With perfect timing for a change in weather forecasts, the heavy rain confined to the night before the Centenary Amateur left Copt Heath in perfect condition for those who were going to score low. Two players took real advantage of greens that were like dart boards, yet still silky smooth and it was Copt Heath member Sam Hufton who was topping the leaderboard, along with Ben Stafford, past Midland Boys Champion after the first 18 |

Bet with Broadhurst |
| Havng predicted 280 for the week it was a more than happy Paul Broadhurst who fired a last round 68 in the Quinn Direct British Masters to take a share of 7th place with that exact score - 'It was good really. I was really pleased with the first 12. The last 6 I was just hanging on', said Paul.
One bad shot on the 13th needed all Paul's recovery skills to make par -

The Quinn Direct British Masters 2006 - Final Day
With 10 holes to go, the 2006 Quinn Direct British Masters looked a two horse race between the last pairing of the 'Men in Black', good friends Michael Campbell and Paul Casey. They were two and four shots clear of the field respectively after each had made a birdie in the first few holes. Playing behind them was crowd favorite Darren Clarke and Johan Edfors. Clarke started with three bogeys in the first five and seemed well out of it at -7 whilst Edfors turned at -10. What was going on behind this pairing was incredible.
