• County Week - All tied!

County Week Stage 1 Day 2 - Burton-on-Trent GC - Tuesday 12th June. Warwickshire ladies had to win today and that they did with a super performance against Staffordshire. The score was 5.5 to 3.5 (the same margin of loss from yesterday) and with Worcestershire and Hereford beating the other winners from yesterday Derbyshire by exactly the same margin - and the same margin that Worcs & Hereford had lost by on Day 1 - all four Counties are tied for 1st place!

  • Our (usual) slow start!

County Week Stage 1 - Day 1Monday 11th June - Burton-on-Trent GC - Today your team made a slow start to County Week, certainly not planned but something both Mens and Ladies teams seem to have the habit of doing (If you have a flick through the Mens section results you will see the same sort of pattern). Your Warwickshire Ladies also have the habit of coming right back into contention and that fight-back started this afternoon as they took the singles and nearly the match.

  • YOUR COUNTY 1STS FOR 2007!

Wednesday 9th April - This time last week your County Captain Anne Parry was able to finalise her team to go to County Week Stage 1, at Burton-on-Trent GC in Derbyshire from the 10th-13th June, as the 2007 County Championships reached their conclusion. This article includes that team and they are pictured (with Anne and Bev Belcher her Vice-Captain).

  • Did we win through

County Week Stage 1 2006 - Day 3 - 7th June - Maxstoke GC 9-0 would have been perfect. 8-1 was very good. 7-2 was the absolute minimum. This was the maths that County Captain Anne Parry had with her when she made her team talk before the final day of this year's stage one of qualifying for the ELGA Champion County Championship. It would all be irrelevant if Staffordshire bt Worcs & Hereford but that match followed our match so your team just had to win as many matches as they could and then sit and wait

  • Warwickshire are in trouble

County Week - Stage 1 - Day 2 - With a 3-6 loss against Staffordshire, our team must produce a big performance tomorrow and hope that Worcestershire continue their form of today, if Warwickshire are to go through to the semi-finals. The day started with a win at No 1 in the foursomes

  • Max Power (in the singles) at Maxstoke

County Week 2006 - Stage 1 - Monday 5th June - Maxstoke Park. Warwickshire beat Worcestershire & Hereford Ladies 6-3 to give new County Captain Anne Parry a winning start in the quest for moving on the County Week semi-finals once again. There are two more matches to come over the next two days but this was the perfect first match - although things were not in our favour at lunch. This report also includes news on our opposition Staffordshire, for tomorrow morning.

  • County Week Semi-Finals - Warwickshire lose out at last hurdle.

Copt Heath GC - Wednesday 20th July. The Northants team included a number of ELGA squad players and major trophy winners and as such, today's match was always going to be the toughest test of Captain Pat Hale's fantastic squad. The best news possible (bar a 3-0) came in the morning foursomes as Warwickshire won twice - including a 9&7 score line!
