Fliss wins the Bridget Jackson
Felicity Johnson (Harborne), a member of the ELGA Elite Under 21 squad, has won the Bridget Jackson Bowl held at Handsworth Golf Club. Her first round 7 under par gross 65 (equaling Trish Johnson’s 1985 course record) and a level par 72 second round gave Felicity a winning total of 137.
Top Girls Golf - Top Honours
Having just returned from playing in Portugal slightly down hearted by not doing as well as she had hoped, Felicity Johnson received a wonderful 17th Birthday present recently when she was named Birmingham Young Sportwomen of the year at a presentation at the NIA.
County Liaison Meeting - A Great Success
A quick thank-you to all those ladies who attended the annual County Liaison Officers meeting on 5 February at Coventry GC. We are now in the process of collating the ideas and comments that were put forward and will circulate them along with the minutes just as soon as possible. England Girl wins major championship
England Under 15 Champion Florentyna Parker has become the first British girl to win at the world?s biggest junior tournament. The 14-year-old claimed her victory at the Doral-Publix Junior Classic in Miami, which attracts hundreds of youngsters from all over the world.
