Warwickshire Girls are ready for 2005. |

At the annual get-together for County girls at Kenilworth GC on Wednesday 16th February, new County Organiser Jane Dennick welcomed some 15 County Girls to a morning of fun competition followed by a talk about County activities for 2005, and the presenting of two special trophies. There were a few absentees because of holidays or University commitments but with plus handicap golfer Felicity Johnson in attendance, everyone was trying their hardest in the competition. |

WARWICKSHIRE SCHOOLS U11S |
| This Championship will be held on Tuesday 16th August 2005 at Marston Lakes, on the 9 Hole Par 3 Course. The age qualification date is U11 on 31st August 2004 and its open to any Junior Golfer, whether they have a handicap or not. They need to have the basic skills of golf, be able to hit the ball in the air and understand how to play the game (scoring and the basic rules). It could be the first competition for many young golfers so if you know of someone who might like to play, please print off an entry form and the 'read me' notes. |

For 2005 there is a new format for the English Schools Championships and Warwickshire Schools would like to hold a County Competition for the McPartlin Trophy. Full details of both competitions are in this feature and it will be of special interest to Teachers and Club Junior Organisers for each competition respectively. |

Masterclass for English golfers |
| Three English golfers are just back from Texas – and a masterclass with some of the world’s top coaches. Teenagers Felicity Johnson and Sian James, together with professional Sarah Claridge, spent a week with Dick, Craig and Bill Harmon, brothers of World No 1 Coach, Butch Harmon.
