DUNLOP SLAZENGER FINDS NEW HOME
Sports World International, the acquisitive company behind the Sports Soccer retail chain, has bought Dunlop Slazenger, owner of two of Britain s oldest and best known sports brands. The deal was concluded with a consortium of banks who took over Dunlop Slazenger in 2001 from private equity group Cinven, who had backed an MBO for the brand in 1996.
