The Windmill Course at Hawkstone Park
Many of you will have heard of Hawkstone and probably been there to play the acclaimed Hawkstone course itself. If that visit was a few years ago, its time for another trip to play one of the most spectacular vista courses in the UK, and to enjoy what has become one of the leading ‘traditional’ resort hotels for a short break. The first thing you will notice as you go up the Hotel drive is the styled and impressive new clubhouse. Its very functional, offering all the quality facilities you will expect to find had impressive views over both the old and the new, the ‘new’ being the Windmill Course, designed by Brian Huggett and opened in 1995.

Mannings Heath A great place for a weekend away ... and much more
Turn right off the M23, take a leafy lane for a couple of miles, then take another right turn and you arrive at Mannings Heath Golf Club. Its barely 30 minutes from the South Coast (Brighton), a club of nearly 100 years of age that has changed with the times - where needed. This is beautiful privacy just a few miles from Gatwick Airport without a plane in sight, even in the skies.
THE MANOR HOUSE at the Manor House Hotel
Some prestigious new golf clubs do many things well. Making the most of the course possibilities should always the prime consideration. Having excellent Clubhouse facilities is a prerequisite for attracting many types of golfer whilst the service values of a Club’s staff is so often responsible for bringing people back. Our course review, for the Manor House Golf Club, took place in mid Autumn. The ‘season’ had finished yet there was a smile about the faces of players and staff alike, a sure sign that everyone enjoys their golf at the club.
Golfing Holidays in Vietnam
Exploring new golf destinations has a certain kudos - if you manage to play a hidden gem before it appears in the press, its a special feeling. Countries all over the World are looking to golf as the basis for new holiday resorts so the new courses (many designed by Tour Stars from the present and going back to the glorious 70 s) are still appearing, and mistakes from the 80 s have been widely learnt - you will rarely find somewhere half finished or in poor condition.
