Winning weeks end on a high for Holland
The 2009 Boys Matchplay Final - Friday 7th August 2009 - Walmley Golf Club. The life of a top county junior can mean 36 holes a day each week of the summer holidays. For both this year's finalists, Rob Holland and Tom Ibbertson, it was a final to finish such a busy week, and with a come-back of the Gary Player kind, Rob took his first Warwickshire title.

Team Warwickshire 2nd's v Nottinghamshire 2nd's @ Cotgrave Place GC on Sunday 2nd August 2009. After opening the season with two home wins the 2nd's arrived in sunny Nottinghamshire for their first away match of the campaign looking to consolidate their position as joint league leaders. Player availability for this match was very high and after much deliberation captain Pete Clarke bravely made five changes to the side that had convincingly beat Staffs last month. The team on paper looked very strong, could this perceived strength be translated on the golf course ?

Every Effort Counts as Ibbertson retains
The 2009 Warwickshire Boys - Wednesday 29th July - Walmley Golf Club. It took a huge amount of effort to make this years Boys Championship playable, and the effort and preparation of last years winner, aided by the most solid of golf games, for Tom Ibbertson to take home the trophy for a second year.
Staffs take one match
Warwickshire Juniors vs Staffordshire - Sunday 5th July 2009 - Rugby Golf Club. Staffordshire claimed one of the three inter-county matches between ourselves and their teams last weekend. Jamie Carney couldn't play due to illness so Tom Ibbertson was named Captain for this match. He partnered Michael McCormack and achieved a half in the foursomes.
