    The Quinta Do Lago hotel is one of the Premier Hotels in Portugal, actually throughout Europe, and one of its course is a host for the Portughese Open. The Hotel has very kindly sponsored the Warwickshire County Ladies Golf Association and you will find banner links in the County Ladies section of this site which will take you directly to the hotel s brand new web site. We have asked the hotel for Features on the new developments for this year and on the many fantastic facilities to enjoy .... this is our first look at the Hotel.

    Firstly, there is course record news which needs to be celebrated - Just a couple of weeks ago Marsha Button, 1st Team Captain did a Gross 70 at Nuneaton the other day in a competition - she played to +2, the SSS is 72 - and it is a new course record! That round has pulled her to 4 - and Marsha is over the moon! Whats new now and later this month

  • The 2003 Weetabix Women s British Open Championship

    Sunday Bright sunny morning and for these reporters the start of an exciting day. Weather forecast is good so hopefully the play will match it. Again there was just a breeze and it was very sunny. This international field will surely delight the record crowd of 21,610 hoping to see an thrilling finish. Total crowd for the week was 73330. Quality abounds with 4 of the top 10 ADT money list in contention.

    REPORT ON THE ENGLISH SENIOR LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION FOR 2002 2002 was another busy and successful year for the English Senior Ladies Golf Association, which currently has 863 members and Midlands players have been active in competing, winning and organising. Between the months of February and October the ESLGA organised a Match Play Championship at Ganton, a Stroke Play Championship at Saunton, three regional events at Kedleston Park, High Post and Sickleholme and a foursomes tournament at Stoke by Nayland
