- Power playing their way to Ganton - We are in the English Finals
Saturday 18th June 2011 - Peterborough Milton Golf Club - Midland Mens 6s qualifier - To paraphrase a once ranting Danish TV Football commentator - ' Ibbertson, Jewsbury, Dougill, Browning, Dodds, Carney - you were magnificent - the was one of the Bear's finest hours ...'
- Team selected for the 6s at Peterborough Milton
Friday 17th & Saturday 18th June will see us once again contend against our neighbouring counties in the 6 man team event - this is where all 6 scores will count over 36 holes so this is a high pressure day for all involved.
- 2011 BAINBRIDGE SHIELD - UPDATED DRAW SHEET
2011 Bainbridge Draw Sheet as at 13 June 2011.
- 1st V Nottinghamshire at Harborne
First game to start the season took us to Harborne Golf Club where we were looking for a good result to kick start our attempt to the reclaim the midland league, well that was the plan!
- A disastrous start to the campaign
Sunday 5th June 2011 - Sherwood Forest Golf Club vs Nottinghamshire. We kicked off our quest for the hat-trick of league wins with a visit to the wonderful Sherwood Forest Golf Club. This season has seen the second team reduced from 12-a-side to 10-a-side, but given the talent in my squad I was confident that we would hit the ground running.
- Boys v Derbys - Copt Heath
Sunday 5th June - Warks 7 1/2 Derbys 7 1/2 -Because of exams and injury, we were forced to field 4 rookies for this match. Absentees included Nathan Ray (shoulder injury) and Luke Allen ('A' Levels), two of our top four, so we were, to say the least, expecting a hard day.
- EGU Midland Ten Counties Qualifier - not our best year
The format is teams of 6, playing 36 holes medal, with aggregate of best 5 scores in each round to count, the winning county to represent the Midlands in the National Finals in August. So how did we do and what went on?
