Its Tough at the Top |
 |
|
Last year Warwickshire were top of the ‘pile’ – this year everyone is gunning for them and this was another narrow defeat, to Notts who still have a chance at the Midland League title.
It was a good start though, both from the foursomes result and for our first pair in the singles.

The 2003 Walker Cup - Editorial |
| At Ganton this weekend, GB & Ireland will look to continue their winning streak with victory over the US side, an opposing team weakened by three players turning professional. There will be no Warwickshire player in the team this year, not that we haven’t had excellent representation in the past.
Final Score - GB and I 12.5 - US 11.5 - a great comeback! |

U21s Matchplay 2003 – Ben is Back |
 |
|
Winning the Midland Boys is some achievement, giving a player a reputation to live up to. After last years triumph, the silky skills that Ben showed that day have been under a little bit of pressure but today, at Moor Hall, Ben added another prestigious trophy to his collection. |

A very special win for Madden |
| John Madden only took up the game of golf in his mid 30’s. Since reaching ‘Seniors’ age, he has competed every year for Warwickshires most prestigious Trophy for the Senior golfer and twice he has lost in a play-off. He is a wonderful example to any late starter of what can be achieved but having found that he enjoyed the game, the ‘competitive’ John Madden has lowered his handicap to 3 and there is now a trophy collection of which this win is very special.
