THE SEASON’S BEST |
 |
|
In my first year as County Competition Secretary I have been privileged to have experienced some wonderful occasions and seen several impressive performances from players in the various events over the season. Players of all abilities have been involved and in their own way have contributed to the enjoyment and excitement. From the handicap point of view, Felicity Johnson of Harborne Golf Club stands out as she started with a handicap of three playing in the County Championships at Olton in May where she was defending her title and is now off scratch - a great achievement in anyone’s book. It was certainly the first time I had handled the card of a scratch golfer when she played in the Team Championships at Copt Heath. |
