On a beautiful September morning 53 Warwickshire ladies set out to play for the Joyce Nichol Trophies yesterday, 26th September. The venue was Moor Hall GC, who once again this year had offered their course for a Warwickshire competition, and what a well presented course it was.....

As the Solheim Cup teams flew into Dublin today, Menzies Welcombe Hotel Golf and Country Club was again hosting the prestigious Warwickshire Ladies' County Inter Club League Final - what an action packed week for lovers of the game of golf in Warwickshire!....

We had all seen the weather forecast for Tuesday 6th and were dreading what was to come - we weren't disappointed!! Starters in the morning had to contend with gales and driving rain whereas the afternoon players just had the wind, and my how difficult was that?!

The Warwickshire Second Team emphatically beat Worcestershire and Herefordshire at Leamington and County Golf Club yesterday, 24th August winning 8 games to 1 to clinch the Midlands South League Cup. On the way to winning the League Cup they beat Oxfordshire (away) 5 games to 4 away at Bicester Golf and Country Cub, Northamptonshire (away) at Overstone Park 5 games to 4 and Buckinghamshire (home) at Ladbrook Park Golf Cub 7 games to 2....

Northamptonshire County were the hosts of the 2011 Goodyear Challenge Cup on Monday 15th August, with the venue being Whittlebury Golf Club. Several players from Warwickshire had entered the competition as well as players from Northampshire and Leicestershire.

Two venues, four teams with seven nervous ladies from each team make the perfect recipe for another exciting WLCGA Inter Club League Semi Final. Together with officials and caddies the matches were held at Shirley G C where The Warwickshire played against Leamington & County and on the same day the second semi final was played by Olton against Maxstoke Park at Stratford on Avon......
