Exciting times are ahead as we all look forward to golf in 2007
County golf is also at the crest of a new wave, and bursting with new young talent in the wings. We are now starting to reap the benefits of investing both time and additional funds in encouraging and training the county's junior girls.
A new year, new career for Fliss
Today is the start of Fliss Johnson's first year as a Professional golfer. After a superb amateur career, capped by becoming English Champion in 2005, Fliss did the first hardest job (earning her tour card at Q School), now Fliss has the opportunity to do the second hardest job - keeping her card and placing as high on the OOM as she can. Before the season starts, there is lots of preparation - hours on the range and in the gym, sorting out sponsors, planning for each Tour event.
A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL
From everyone involved with this web site, have a wonderful Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. We wish you all the very best for your golf in 2007. May your handicap come tumbling down, may you enjoy every game of golf with your friends, and hopefully we can all celebrate County winners at every level of competition - plus some European Major successess. See you all back here for the golfing news. Thank you.
