OSMAN ESCAPES TO VICTORY
Former England-defender and Escape to Victory star Russell Osman fought off the challenge of a strong field of ex-pros to win the fourth annual Footballers' Golf Classic Dubai. Osman, who plays off four, scored 97 Stableford points over the three competition rounds and edged out former Southampton-teammate Matt Le Tissier only on countback.

The NEC Birmingham Golf Show - Friday 16th to Sunday 18th November 2007. Last year's Birmingham Golf show wasn't a spectacular start. The organisers of the London Golf Show were brought in and 'hey presto' queues on the first morning that were as big as those on the first day of the original London Show. The NEC was the original major major UK exhibition venue. It hosted the Golf Trade Show that bought in buyers from all over Europe, and now its taken its first step to try to take London's crown as the 'boss of indoor moss'
