| Team Warwickshire 2nd's v Shropshire & Herefordshire @ Coventry Hearsall GC on Sunday 7th June 2009 Both teams arrived for breakfast at a very wet Coventry Hearsall Golf Club for the opening match of the 2009 Midlands League season asking the question 'will we be able to play golf today?'

Sunday 31st May at Breedon Priory Golf Club - On a course measuring 5,958 yards from the white tees and with the weather was warm and sunny with a light breeze, the Warwickshire team was weakened on paper by the absence of the under 16 captain Nathan Ray, and Robert Owens who is unbeaten in his matches for the county so far this year.  |

| The Final of the 2009 Mens Matchaply Championship - Olton GC - Sunday 31st June. It was rather hot to play golf, and 'hot' golf was being played. For father of two Rob Porter, heroics from Friday had presented him with the opportunity to try and play another perhaps 36 against the best player in Warwickshire, to add to the 72 in the three days before. |

| The 2009 Midland Schools - Kirby Muxloe Golf Club - Friday 29th May - The theme of the last week has been completely non Warwickshire correct with our large opera singer either waylaid in the wings, or having lost her voice (hopefully not through indulging in smoking) ? winning has become a memory. Jonathan Bryan made a great attempt at reversing that trend in the Midland Schools. |
