- Dale’s Double
With two 69s, Dale Marson from Rugby Golf Club repeated the performance of Chris Evans (in 2002) and Chris Hazledine (2003) in winning both the Boys and the U21s Championships for 2004 – by 3 and 4 shots respectively. It was excellent golf over the perfectly set-up Colt Course of Harborne GC, a true test for the best Boys and U21s in the County.
- Three England Caps for Foster, Marson and Sullivan
It was a great day for Warwickshire Junior Golf at the England Schools Championships at Thetford G C, Norfolk, on Monday 28th June 2004. There were just 15 places available in the two England Schools teams for the International matches at the end of the Summer and 31 Counties were represented through the qualification process - Warwickshire ended up with 3 caps - 20% of the available places.

- The 2004 Midland Schools – A winning finish?
72 holes in two days has the ring of the playing requirement from the mainstays of a Ryder Cup team, let along three Warwickshire Juniors for whom the Junior 6s (Thursday) was as tough a test of their golf as they had ever had in their short careers. Andy Sullivan, Sam Foster and Neil Taylor all arrived to play their best, not matter how tired they were, over a Cosby course, beautifully prepared for the Midland Schools 2004. They would be joined by Dale Marson to complete the Warwickshire team, and Jack Raison and Chris Hazeldine as wildcard entrants.
- The 2004 JoM - First full Results
If you click on 'Junior Order of Merit' (Left), you will see the first update of the JoM for 2004 and heading the table is Andy Sullivan from Purley Chase after a win at the Schools and Runner-up places in the Boys and Mens Trials. Only 15% of the JoM points for 2004 have been distributed so far, so Andy has a long way to go and lots more golf to play if he is going to claim the JoM title.
- Another year - a different golfer.
Last year started badly for Andy Sullivan when he missed playing in the McEvoy, and matchplay success for the Boys 1st team apart, it was not a good year – a lack of confidence and a rising handicap. Andy stayed on in education, starting a two year College course last Autumn, unlike many of his fellow Junior Team members who opted for more time for their golf. For Sullivan though, quality rather than quantity and a belief that 2003 was just one of those years saw the Purley Chase star return to winning ways by 3 shots over the field with a 71 at Henley, just one shot off the Amateur Course record.
