SENIORS NEWS - COUNTY 6S AND RE-ARRANGED SENIORS OPEN
The English Seniors County Championship qualifier - 16th August - Shrewsbury GC - Senior Captain, and Warwickshire Seniors champion, Geoff Tatton has chosen his team who will try to qualify for the English Seniors Championship to be held at Rotherham GC in October.

Warwickshire Boys Matchplay 2007 - Finals - Ladbrook Park GC - Wednesday 8th August - Anyd Bate took the second of the Union Matchplay trophies back to Moor Hall, to complete the 'set' after Michael McCormack's triumph at the Mens. It was hard work, in the end (the final eighteen) after a very spirited fight-back from Runner-Up Will Bailey.

Warwickshire U14s 2007 - North Warwickshire Golf Club - Tuesday 7th August - the 29th U14s (or U15s as it used to be) was won by Maxstoke's Nathan Ray with a 76 then a 39 for the last nine holes. Having been the best player in the Counties U14s team 9and the U14s captain), Nathan 'did the business' in some style winning by four shots from George Allan of Shirley.

Warwickshire Boys Matchplay 2007 - Bate vs Bailey
Quarter and Semi-Finals - Monday 6th August 2007 - Ladbrook Park GC - Today was a day of surprises and there will be a new name on a Warwickshire Union Trophy this Wednesday. The first match on the draw sheet was the first meeting, in matchplay, between Coventry team-mates Dan Baskott and Sam Dodds. It went all the way to the 18th, and perhaps Sam was 'birdied out' after the eight he made the day before in the 1st team match against Shropshire and Herefordshire, but he could not respond to the four birdies from Dan and was out early - the favourite was gone.
Cryer has Final opportunity
English Amateur 2007 - Quarter and Semi-Finals - Friday 3rd August 2007 - Matt Cryer will take on 19 year old Daniel Willet in the Final of the English Amateur, seeking the title he covets most and one where he has come close the past two year. Willet is the Yorkshire Champion and a very successful player for a US University so Matt will have his work cut out - in Friday matches he showed the qualities he will need
