• Rob Browning is No 1 on the JoM

Rob Browning was one of 9 players in with any sort of chance of overhauling the 2002 JoM No1 Chris Evans at the start of the JoM Championship. In reality though, just four players could take Chris s title - the others would have to rely on Chris taking last place. The four were Dale Marson, Rob Browning, Chris Hazeldine or Sam Foster.

  • From fifth to First - the 2nds take the Midland title

At 8 am on Sunday (5th), the Warwickshire 2nds were in 5th place in the Midland League. They were, however, just one point off the top of the table and just 2.5 individual games behind the leaders, Worcestershire, who were playing Staffordshire. • Carey takes it less seriously … and wins

Adrian Carey returned to the winners circle and a years custody of the Warwickshire Open trophy once again with rounds of 66 and 69 over a very tough Rugby GC course, a course playing like a tough links with a bit of wind. He was two ahead of two Amateurs, the finalists from the Warwickshire Matchplay, Paul Randle and the Champion Matt Cryer.

  • Its Tough at the Top

Last year Warwickshire were top of the ‘pile’ – this year everyone is gunning for them and this was another narrow defeat, to Notts who still have a chance at the Midland League title. It was a good start though, both from the foursomes result and for our first pair in the singles.

  • The 2003 Walker Cup - Editorial

At Ganton this weekend, GB & Ireland will look to continue their winning streak with victory over the US side, an opposing team weakened by three players turning professional. There will be no Warwickshire player in the team this year, not that we haven’t had excellent representation in the past. Final Score - GB and I 12.5 - US 11.5 - a great comeback!
